Police smash perverted child sex ring
POLICE have smashed an evil child-sex ring which has been operating in Hackney.
Around a dozen men are thought to have been involved in procuring children as young as five years old for perverted sex sessions.
They formed a network to pass youngsters between one man and another. Three men have already been charged with buggery and
police swooped to make further arrests at homes in Hackney and north-east London this week.
Detectives based in a special incident room at Hackney police station have been investigating the ring for the past three months.
Det Chief Insp Chris Newman said: "Around a dozen men have been involved in sex offences with youngsters aged between five and 15. There was a network of contacts who put each other in touch with the children. "They procured children by cultivating the confidence of their parents."
• Last week, at the Old Bailey, four Hackney men were jailed as part of a gang of homosexuals who preyed on young runaway boys.
